Clutch Friction Disc and Plate Kit

The friction discs have likely worn past their minimum thickness or have become glazed due to heat, preventing the pressure plate from achieving full lockup. When the material is gone, the manual adjustment screw on the front cover reaches the end of its travel (maxed out), meaning the mechanism can no longer provide the necessary clamping force to transfer torque to the transmission.

Centrifugal Clutch Shoe Set

On Rancher models, the primary centrifugal clutch (starter clutch) handles initial take-off; if the weights or 'shoes' are worn or the drum is grooved, the engine will rev without moving the vehicle regardless of the secondary clutch adjustment. This mimics an adjustment slip but occurs at the primary stage of the power delivery system.

Clutch Cover Gasket

This is a mandatory service component required to access the internal clutch assemblies. The front crankcase cover must be removed to replace the friction plates or centrifugal shoes once the external adjustment has failed to resolve the slipping symptom.
