Fuel Valve Assembly

The EU2200i was subject to a major safety recall regarding the fuel valve assembly screws. Under high-vibration conditions, these screws can back out, causing a breach in the fuel delivery seal. This allows gasoline to leak internally, which then manifests as a drip from the generator's external drain points.

Carburetor Assembly

A secondary failure mode involves the carburetor float needle failing to seat properly due to debris or fuel degradation. When the needle fails to seal, the fuel bowl overflows into the vent tube, which is routed to the bottom drain of the generator housing.

Fuel Tube/Line Kit

Thermal cycling and chemical degradation from ethanol-blended fuels can cause the rubber fuel lines to crack or lose elasticity at the connection points. A leak at the pump-to-carburetor interface will result in fuel accumulation in the lower tray, eventually exiting through the drain.
