Black Lid Ribbon Cable
The black ribbon cable transmits critical optical data from the lid camera to the main controller, which the machine uses to identify the laser head's position during startup. Over time, the repeated opening of the lid causes mechanical fatigue or 'kinking' against the chassis, leading to fractured internal copper traces. Without a valid camera signal, the machine fails the homing sequence, causing the stepper motors to stall or the focus actuator to cycle rapidly, producing the reported clacking sound.
