Glowforge Aura Laser Head
On the Glowforge Aura, the air-assist fan is an integrated component of the laser head assembly rather than a separate serviceable part. A 'Fan Error' or related system alert is triggered when the internal sensor detects that the fan cannot reach the necessary velocity to clear smoke from the lens path or cool the diode. Personal Filter Replacement Cartridge
If the Aura is used with the optional Personal Filter, a clogged HEPA/Charcoal cartridge creates significant backpressure on the exhaust fan. This resistance can cause the fan motor to draw excessive current or fail to meet RPM targets, leading the firmware to throw a safety error. Replacing the saturated filter media restores the required airflow dynamics for the exhaust system.
