Defrost Drain Tube

This tube facilitates the exit of melt-water from the evaporator tray to the external drain pan. If it becomes clogged with biofilm or frozen solid, water overflows into the freezer floor. This specific OEM part is the standard replacement for modern GE French Door units showing floor ice.

Drain Heater Clip

This is a heat-conductive probe that attaches to the defrost heater and extends into the drain hole. It prevents the drain from freezing shut by transferring heat directly into the aperture during the defrost cycle, addressing the root cause of 'ice-over' clogs.

Evaporator Drain Pan

If the metal drain pan under the evaporator is rusted, cracked, or improperly pitched, water will bypass the drain hole entirely and leak directly onto the freezer floor. This is a common secondary failure point in high-humidity environments.
