Magnetic Reed Switch

The AutoFill system uses this magnetic sensor to detect the presence of the pitcher. If the internal contacts of the reed switch are fused or fail to close when the magnetic field is applied, the control board never receives the signal to initiate the water flow sequence, even if the pitcher is correctly docked.

Water Inlet Valve Assembly

This model uses a multi-solenoid valve to route water to the dispenser, ice maker, and pitcher. If the specific solenoid dedicated to the pitcher circuit suffers from a burnt-out electromagnetic coil or an internal mechanical blockage (calcification), it will fail to open when energized, resulting in no water delivery to the pitcher nozzle.

AutoFill Pitcher Lid

The pitcher lid contains a specific magnet required to actuate the door's sensor. If the lid is dropped, the magnet can become dislodged or lose its orientation, or if the lid is warped, it will not sit flush enough against the sensor wall to trigger the fill mechanism, preventing operation.
