Mode Shifter Actuator

The mode shifter uses a synchronous motor and cam to physically move the clutch from the agitation position to the spin position. If the internal motor fails or the plastic cam snaps, the machine remains in agitate mode or neutral, meaning the motor will hum or spin the pulsator, but the basket will remain stationary. This results in the drainage of water but no centrifugal extraction, leaving clothes saturated.

Lid Lock & Harness Assembly

This washer requires a confirmed 'Lock' signal before the control board authorizes high-speed spin. If the solenoid fails to extend the locking bolt or the internal switch fails to verify the position, the cycle will pause or skip the spin phase entirely for safety. Mechanical wear on the plastic latch housing often prevents the strike from aligning correctly with the sensor.

Suspension Rod Kit

If the dampening springs or friction pads within the four suspension rods degrade, the tub will oscillate wildly during the transition to spin. The control board detects this via an accelerometer or speed variance and will either 'down-spin' at a lower RPM or abort the cycle to prevent mechanical damage. This leaves the clothes excessively wet as the required G-force for water extraction was never reached.
