Water Filter Head and Tube Assembly

This component houses the water filter and connects to the primary lines. In the GNE series, the plastic manifold is prone to stress-cracking or seal failure where the filter bypasses, causing water to drip into the fresh food compartment and eventually leak out of the unit's base.

Defrost Drain Tube

This tube allows meltwater from the evaporator coils to exit the cabinet. If it becomes clogged with debris or ice, water overflows the drain pan inside the freezer, causing a puddle to form on the floor in front of or beneath the refrigerator.

Dual Water Inlet Valve

The inlet valve controls water flow to the icemaker and dispenser. A mechanical failure in the solenoid or a cracked plastic housing on the valve itself will cause a constant or intermittent leak at the rear of the appliance.
