FastFix Selector Lever & Slide

The FastFix system utilizes a mechanical interlock slide that physically blocks the plunge path when the blade-change lever is engaged. If fine dust accumulates in the handle assembly or the return spring fails, the slide remains in the 'lock' position, preventing any downward rotation of the saw body. Replacing or cleaning this lever and its associated slide restores the mechanical clearance required for the plunge stroke.

Plunge Pivot Bushing Kit

The saw's motor housing rotates on a fixed pivot axis located at the rear of the base plate. Sawdust can infiltrate the tight tolerances between the bushings and the pivot bolt, creating high friction or a total seizure known as binding. This prevents the spring-loaded return and the initial plunge movement, requiring a teardown and replacement of the friction surfaces.

Depth Stop Slider Assembly

The depth-of-cut adjustment block sits on a metal rail that limits the plunge depth. If the slider is bent, improperly seated, or if debris is trapped behind the locking nut, it can act as a permanent hard-stop at the 'zero' position, effectively locking the saw in the upward position and preventing any downward movement.
