Coupler Wing Bolt and Clamp Assembly
The coupling mechanism on the EGO multi-head system relies on a precision-fit aluminum sleeve and a spring-loaded locking pin to secure the attachment. Over time, debris ingress or galvanic corrosion creates a friction-lock (stiction) between the power head's output sleeve and the attachment's drive shaft. This prevents the locking pin from retracting and the shafts from sliding apart, effectively seizing the two components together.
