A flashing red light on an EGO battery is the standard diagnostic code for a critical low-voltage condition. If the battery fails to clear this state after a full charge cycle on a Gen 2 or Turbo charger, the internal lithium-ion cells have likely reached their end-of-life or suffered a cell-group imbalance that the BMS cannot correct. Because these packs are ultrasonically welded and potted for weather resistance, the entire battery assembly is the only sellable component that resolves the failure.
