Dyson V15 Digital Motorbar Cleaner Head
The most common failure mode is a stalled internal drive motor caused by high-torque resistance from hair wrap or fine dust entering the motor housing. Because the V15 monitors brush resistance in real-time, any internal electrical degradation in the head's PCB or motor will cause the main unit to cease power delivery to the tool. Replacing the entire assembly is the standard resolution as the motor and vanes are not individually serviceable.

Dyson V15 Replacement Brush Bar
The end-cap bearings on the removable brush bar can seize due to friction heat or hair ingress. If the bar cannot rotate freely on its own axis, the motor will trip a safety shut-off, and replacing only the roller bar restores mechanical rotation.
