The V10 is engineered to pulse if the pressure sensor detects restricted airflow through the motor. Over time, microscopic dust particles clog the HEPA filter's pleated media beyond the reach of a standard water rinse, causing the unit to enter safety mode to prevent the motor from overheating.

If pulsing occurs primarily in 'Boost' or 'Max' mode, it indicates voltage sag. As the lithium-ion cells age, their internal resistance increases; when the motor demands high current, the voltage drops below the threshold, causing the PCB to shut off the motor momentarily, resulting in a pulsing effect.

Internal blockages within the cyclone cones or a failure of the internal gasket seals can cause severe airflow restriction that cannot be cleared manually. If a new filter and clear wand do not stop the pulsing, the blockage is typically lodged deep within the non-serviceable cyclone channels.
