Motor Unit Assembly
The motor unit contains the drive motors and the logic board. In these hermetically sealed units, water ingress through the drive shaft seals frequently causes internal corrosion or short-circuiting of the drive-motor's H-bridge circuit. When this fails, the pump motor may still engage (powering on), but the drive motors fail to receive the necessary current to rotate the gear train.

Drive Tracks (Set of 2)
Chlorine exposure leads to elastomer degradation, causing the timing belts to stretch or lose their internal teeth. If the tracks lose tension or shear their cogs, the drive motor will spin the drive tubes internally without transferring kinetic energy to the tracks, resulting in a stationary unit despite functioning motors.

Impeller
A physical obstruction in the impeller creates a high-torque stall condition. The onboard microprocessor monitors current draw; an amperage spike caused by a jammed impeller triggers a 'Dry Run' or 'Stall' protection mode, which electronically disables the drive motors to prevent thermal runaway in the motor windings.
