The Mic 2 relies on GFSK 1 Mbps/2 Mbps protocols that require precise version matching for the cryptographic handshake during pairing. Discrepancies between the TX and RX firmware versions will cause a timeout in the linking state machine. Updating both units ensures the communication stack and frequency-hopping tables are synchronized.

DJI Mic 2 Charging Case

The charging case acts as the physical communication bridge for 'Auto-Pairing' via the internal pogo-pin data bus. If the internal logic board or the physical contacts within the case fail, the transmitter cannot receive the hardware-level interrupt signal required to reset the pairing ID, preventing it from 'seeing' the receiver.

DJI Mic Mobile Phone Adapter (Type-C)

When pairing to a mobile device, the receiver requires a stable physical bridge via the slide-in adapter. Mechanical wear or debris on the recessed 8-pin connector between the receiver and the adapter prevents the host device from providing the necessary current to initialize the 2.4GHz radio polling, resulting in a pairing failure.
