The internal Battery Management System (BMS) has detected a cell voltage that has fallen below the critical safety floor (typically 2.5V per cell) or a significant impedance mismatch between series strings. This triggers a safety lockout to prevent charging an unstable cell which could lead to thermal runaway. Because the cells are spot-welded and the BMS is integrated, the entire battery pack is the non-serviceable assembly required for resolution.
