Steering Tie Rod End

The tie rod ends are the primary wear points in the RZT-S steering system. As the internal ball joints develop play due to vibration and lateral loading, the front wheels lose their specific toe-in alignment, causing the mower to drift or fail to track straight. Replacing these ends restores the rigid connection between the steering rack and the spindles.

Steering Gear / Pinion Gear

On steering-wheel-equipped zero turns, the pinion gear at the base of the steering column interfaces with a sector gear. Over time, the teeth can wear or skip, leading to a permanent offset in the steering wheel position relative to the wheel direction. Replacing a worn pinion gear ensures the mechanical timing of the steering assembly is maintained.

Drag Link Assembly

The drag links connect the steering gears to the pivot points. If these links are bent from striking an object or if the adjustment nuts have vibrated loose, the synchronization between the steering wheel and the front wheels will be lost. A new assembly ensures the length is correctable to factory specifications for proper tracking.
