Auger Drive Belt

The impeller requires high rotational velocity to generate the centrifugal force necessary to eject snow. A worn or stretched drive belt slips under the increased torque load of wet or heavy snow, causing the impeller RPM to drop below the threshold required to overcome the static friction of the chute walls. This results in snow stacking within the chute rather than being discharged.

Auger Shear Bolt Kit

If a shear bolt has partially failed or reached a state of plastic deformation without fully snapping, the auger or impeller may not spin at full speed under load. This reduction in feed consistency and impeller force causes snow to bridge across the intake and clog the discharge transition.
