K1C 'Unicorn' Integrated Nozzle Assembly

The K1C utilizes a specialized tri-metal integrated nozzle where the heat break is built into the nozzle body; heat creep causes filament to swell in the cooling zone, creating a mechanical lock. Because the internal bore is non-serviceable once filament has carbonized or expanded in the throat, replacing the entire integrated assembly is the only forensic solution to restore a smooth thermal gradient.

K1C Dual-Gear Extruder Assembly

Persistent clogs lead to the extruder gears grinding against stationary filament, which wears down the stainless steel teeth and compromises the tensioning mechanism. If a nozzle replacement does not restore flow, the mechanical interface of the extruder gears has likely lost its 'bite' or is clogged with plastic debris in the sub-millimeter gear teeth.
