CR-Touch Auto Bed Leveling Sensor
The CR-Touch uses an electromagnetic solenoid to deploy a physical probe for mesh leveling. Failure occurs when the probe pin becomes stuck or the internal coil fails to actuate, preventing the optical sensor from registering the bed height and triggering a firmware timeout error.

Strain Gauge Pressure Sensor (Load Cell)
This sensor is located under the build plate and measures nozzle-to-bed contact pressure for Z-offset calibration. If the sensor fails to transmit a piezo-resistive signal change upon contact, the printer will either crash the nozzle into the bed or abort the auto-leveling sequence to prevent structural damage.

Z-Axis Bed Leveling Shims/Standoffs
The Ender 3 V3 series uses fixed plastic standoffs rather than adjustable springs. If the physical tilt of the bed relative to the X-axis gantry exceeds 2.0mm, the auto-leveling algorithm cannot mathematically compensate for the variance, leading to a systemic leveling failure.
