Carburetor Assembly

The float needle valve inside the carburetor regulates fuel flow into the combustion circuit; if debris or varnish prevents it from seating, fuel will continuously flow and leak from the overflow tube. Due to the high-precision jetting required for inverter-controlled RPM, replacing the entire assembly is the only reliable method to ensure the needle-and-seat interface is factory-sealed. This addresses leaks caused by both internal valve failure and bowl gasket degradation.

Fuel Line / Hose Kit

Vibration-induced fatigue and chemical degradation from ethanol-blended fuels cause the rubber fuel lines to become brittle and develop hairline fractures. These cracks usually manifest at the barb connections where the hose is stretched, leading to external leaks during operation or while the fuel petcock is open. Replacing the lines with fuel-grade Tygon or nitrile tubing restores the hermetic seal of the delivery system.

Fuel Tank Cap with Gasket

The fuel cap must maintain a specific atmospheric vent rate to prevent tank pressurization; if the vent fails or the gasket degrades, thermal expansion of the fuel can force liquid gasoline out of the cap or overwhelm the carburetor float. Additionally, as noted in forensic data, older metal caps are prone to internal corrosion, which sheds particulate matter into the fuel system, indirectly causing carburetor leaks.
