ECM Blower Motor Control Module

The ECM module contains the power inverter and capacitors required to convert AC to DC for variable speed operation. The most common failure mode is the thermal degradation of the internal thermistor or a shorted MOSFET, which results in a loss of blower operation and a 'System Malfunction' error. Replacing the module alone, rather than the entire motor, resolves the electromechanical failure of the blower's brain.

Inducer Draft Motor Assembly

The inducer motor clears combustion gases and its RPM is monitored by the system's control board via a Hall-effect sensor. Bearing wear or moisture buildup in the housing causes the motor to fall out of its specific RPM window or seize entirely, triggering Code 42. This assembly includes the motor and blower wheel to ensure the pressure switch can properly verify airflow for the ignition sequence.

Infinity Air Filter (MERV 15)

High static pressure caused by a loaded or restrictive filter is the primary cause of 'Limit Fault' (Code 33) errors. When airflow is insufficient, the heat exchanger temperatures exceed the safety threshold, causing the primary limit switch to open. A fresh, low-resistance filter restores the designed CFM-to-static pressure ratio, preventing thermal trip-outs of the safety circuit.
