Tamp Fan Assembly
The tamp fan uses torque-sensing to determine dose consistency and puck compression. Over time, coffee oils and micro-particulates migrate into the fan's central bore, creating a viscous sludge that increases mechanical resistance. This binding prevents the fan from reaching its operational RPM and causes the control board to sense a motor stall, resulting in a 'stuck' error or inconsistent tamping.
