Grinder Motor Assembly

The DC motor assembly contains an internal thermal fuse and a Hall effect sensor for rotation feedback. If the thermal fuse ruptures due to excessive heat or the Hall sensor fails to provide a startup signal to the PCB, the logic controller will immediately terminate power, preventing the grinder from engaging. This is the primary sellable assembly that restores the motor circuit and rotation sensing.

Hopper Interlock Microswitch

This machine utilizes a safety microswitch that must be physically depressed by the bean hopper tabs to complete the low-voltage control circuit. Mechanical fatigue of the switch's internal leaf spring or misalignment of the hopper cams prevents the 'hopper present' signal from reaching the CPU, resulting in a total failure to engage the motor when the button is pressed.

Main Power PCB

The main PCB contains the motor control circuit, typically utilizing a Triac or relay to switch power to the grinder. If this component suffers from thermal degradation or a voltage spike, it can fail in an 'open' state, meaning the command from the touchscreen interface never results in voltage delivery to the motor terminals.
