ULKA EAX5 Vibratory Pump
The internal piston spring and check-ball within the vibratory pump are subject to mechanical fatigue and cavitation wear over thousands of cycles. When these components degrade, the pump can no longer maintain the volumetric flow rate against high resistance, leading to a visible drop on the manometer during extraction. Replacing the pump restores the structural integrity of the high-pressure side of the hydraulic circuit.

3-Way Solenoid Valve Assembly
Heat-induced calcification or deformation of the internal plunger seal prevents the valve from fully closing the exhaust port to the drip tray. This creates a parasitic pressure leak where water is diverted away from the group head during the brew cycle. This is the primary suspect if 'low pressure' is accompanied by excessive water flow into the drip tray during extraction.

54mm Silicone Group Head Gasket
Thermal cycling and friction from the portafilter ears cause the elastomer to harden and crack over time. If the seal fails to maintain a hermetic interface between the portafilter and the shower screen, pressure will bypass the coffee puck entirely. This is the likely cause if water is seen dripping or spraying from the sides of the portafilter during operation.
