Steam Wand Tip (4-Hole)

The most frequent mechanical cause of frothing failure is the accumulation of calcified milk proteins within the four micro-apertures of the wand tip. This creates significant backpressure within the steam line, causing the internal flow meter to report a deviation to the control board, which then triggers the blinking error lights and halts the pump to prevent over-pressurization.

Milk Temperature Sensor (NTC Thermistor)

The Bambino Plus utilizes a specific NTC thermistor located beneath the drip tray to provide real-time thermal feedback from the milk jug. If this sensor fails or the wiring harness becomes corroded from moisture ingress, the machine cannot verify that the milk is heating, leading the logic controller to assume a 'dry fire' or heater failure, resulting in an immediate cycle termination and blinking indicators.

Espresso Machine Cleaning Tablets

The machine's firmware includes a hard-coded lockout after approximately 200 extraction cycles. When the 1-cup and 2-cup buttons flash alternately, the machine is in a 'cleaning required' state; if ignored, it may inhibit the use of the steam wand or provide inconsistent performance until the backflush cycle is completed with a pressurized cleaning disc and tablet.
