Door Latch Assembly

The door latch assembly contains the microswitch responsible for signaling the control module that the unit is sealed. If the mechanical catch fails to hold the door tight against the gasket, or if the switch contacts are oxidized, the circuit will break during the high-vibration wash phase. This triggers the 'Cycle Interrupted' logic, resulting in the flashing status light.
