Dishwasher Filter Assembly

The triple-filtration system is the primary defense against debris recirculation. When the micro-mesh becomes occluded with bio-films or mineral deposits, it creates a pressure drop at the circulation pump intake, specifically reducing the spray velocity of the lower arm. Replacing the assembly restores the hydraulic flow rate required for effective soil removal on the bottom rack.

Lower Spray Arm

The lower spray arm features specific nozzle geometries designed to provide high-velocity water jets for heavy soils. If debris (such as seeds or glass) bypasses the filter, it becomes trapped inside the arm's internal channels, obstructing the nozzles and preventing the arm from rotating via jet propulsion. This leads to 'blind spots' where dishes in the bottom rack remain untouched by water.

Detergent Dispenser Actuator

In Bosch 500 units, the tablet is designed to drop into a dedicated tray on the handle of the middle rack to be dissolved by the spray arms. If the dispenser door fails to actuate fully or at the correct thermal interval, the detergent tablet will not dissolve properly, resulting in inadequate chemical concentration to break down fats and proteins on the heavily soiled bottom rack.
