Safety Interlock Microswitch
The HealthProtect 7470i utilizes a safety interlock circuit that physically breaks the power path to the motor and control board when the filter access door is disengaged. If the microswitch contacts suffer from internal mechanical failure or the plastic actuator tab on the door fails to exert sufficient pressure, the device will remain in a depowered state. This safety mechanism prevents the unit from starting even if the main power cord is connected and the touch screen is otherwise functional.
