If the voltage drops below a specific threshold, the mount's internal relay will fail to energize the light even if the camera detects motion. Replacing these batteries ensures the electrochemical potential is sufficient to overcome the resistance of the LED driver circuit.

The mount's integrated micro-USB cable is the sole communication path for the camera to signal the LED driver board. Mechanical stress on the cable or internal corrosion of the micro-USB pins can result in a loss of the 'handshake' protocol required for the camera to recognize the accessory. A full mount replacement is necessary if the cable or internal logic board has suffered an electromechanical failure.

Blink Sync Module 2

The Sync Module 2 acts as the system coordinator using proprietary low-frequency radio (LFR) to communicate 'Armed' status to the camera. If the module fails to propagate the arming command or the local network connection is unstable, the camera will not initiate the lighting sequence. This component is the logic bridge that ensures the PIR sensor is authorized to trigger the mount's LEDs.
