Wing Mount Set
The wing mount is subjected to extreme leverage during crashes due to the large surface area of the wing acting as a torque arm. This mechanical advantage causes the plastic mounting bosses to exceed their flexural strength, leading to shear failure or brittle fracture at the shock tower interface. Replacing the molded plastic assembly restores the rear aerodynamic structure and prevents further stress on the chassis plate.
