Oil Tank to Chaincase Gasket
The factory design relies on a liquid sealant between the oil tank and chaincase cover rather than a physical gasket. Over time, thermal cycling and vibration cause this sealant to fail, resulting in oil weeping from the lower mating surface. An aftermarket or specialized interface gasket provides a compressible barrier that accommodates surface irregularities better than RTV sealant.

Chaincase Cover O-Ring
This perimeter X-ring/O-ring seals the outer cover of the chaincase assembly. Leakage occurs here if the seal is pinched during a previous service or if the non-machined casting surfaces of the Procross chassis prevent a uniform seal. It is the secondary most likely source of a fluid leak in the drive system.

Oil Tank Fitting O-Ring
The oil return and feed fittings into the integrated tank utilize internal O-rings. If the leak is localized to the top or side of the tank near the hose connections, these seals have likely degraded due to high operating temperatures of the 9000-series turbo engine, leading to a loss of elasticity and subsequent fluid bypass.
